BERITABANGSA.COM-DENPASAR BALI – Nusa Penida is the biggest of the three Nusa Islands just off from mainland Bali. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan make up the trio of islands, each with uniquely breath-taking landscapes. There are so many awesome things to do on Nusa Penida Island.
We’ve rounded up some interesting places in Nusa Penida, here we go;
1. Kelingking beach view point
Kelingking actually translates into English meaning Pinkie a term referencing the smallest finger on the hand. Just like a pinkie promise, the land does also appear to take the form of a Kelingking or pinkie finger. However, it is the comparison to the T-Rex that has caused this location to become so popular.
2. Thousand island view point
The Thousand Island (Pulau Seribu) Viewpoint is not of the well-known attractions on Nusa Penida but it’s definitely in my top things to do on this amazing island off Bali.
Thousand Island (Pulau Seribu) Viewpoint is located on the east coast of Nusa Penida Island. The viewpoint is one of the attractions on the island and looks along the beautiful coast of Nusa Penida. It’s not far from the famous Atuh Beach and it could be a good idea to combine these two spots into one day!
3. Rumah pohon treehouse
Rumah Pohon Tree House is one of the most iconic locations on Nusa Penida Island and not to be missed during your visit.
This incredible Nusa Penida Treehouse has become very popular thanks to everyone’s favorite app Instagram and it’s one of the best places to see on the east coast of Nusa Penida!
4. Crystal Bay beach
Crystal Bay is an amazing beach on the island of Nusa Penida in Bali. The beach is easily accessible by scooter with a brand new road all the way from Toyapakeh harbour. You can spend your day enjoying the beach and the sea, or just relax in the shade under a parasol. If you’re very lucky you might even see dolphins here. The sunset from this beach is probably among the most spectacular in Nusa Penida.
Snorkeling at Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay is, together with Gamat Bay, one of the best sites to go snorkeling in Nusa Penida. You can rent your snorkeling gear at one of the beach warungs to discover the coral and marine life of this beautiful spot. You can see turtles quite regularly, as well as a lot of different fish and very colorful coral. However, be careful as the current can be very strong here, as well as everywhere else in Nusa Penida.
Don’t forget to bring your fins when you go into the water and don’t go too far out. You can use the mooring points of the boats that are parked in the bay as a reference point. I recommend you not to go past these points. Also, don’t try to reach the rock in the middle of the bay, even though it’s tempting to check out the small temple that is built on top of this rock.
